Supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency's Appian-based contract writing system, the remote Oracle Database Administrator will manage Oracle database administration, security, and outage response while facilitating data design and migration for IDEAS Next Generation. Key responsibilities Install, maintain, and tune Oracle database instances in coordination with hosting providers and DISA administrators Define and maintain database security standards, manage access, and lead troubleshooting of database-related outages Support data integration and migration efforts, including analyzing and validating legacy contract data transfers into IDEAS NG Required qualifications 5+ years of experience as a production Oracle Database Administrator on a supported Oracle release Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills, with working knowledge of MySQL or MariaDB SQL Experience with Oracle backup and recovery using RMAN, and performance tuning using AWR and ASH Hands-on data migration experience, including source-to-target mapping and transformation scripting Familiarity with Oracle Database STIG implementation in a DoD Risk Management Framework environment
